Watercolor crayons are so different from markers but the same too. Marker color is very flat, crayons are all texture. But they both lay down lots of color. I think i like them, yes I do.

Patio Palm

Sitting on the patio tonight, watching the palm trees grow on the other side of the screen.  Beautiful night, just sitting here thinking about my awful contractor and how I found out today I need to redo the entire floor in the new shower that was done last year, entire floor right down to the plastic liner.  Thinking how lucky I am to have another full bathroom with a shower.  Yep, beautiful night. 

You will know her by her colors

Gertie's world is one step forward and 2 back.  She has good days and bad.  Last week was pretty bad.  Took her to the vet 2x and $500 later she's eating again.  The vet costs more then my own dr visits.  Fortunately my next door neighbor is a nurse.  I babysit her cats when she's gone and she gives Gert her fluids.  

It's funny, the older she gets, the sweeter she gets.  Gertie was always a very prickly cat, that girl didn't take anything from anyone.  She'd swat Leo upside the head if he dared try and play with her.  So he'd turn around and chase poor Zoe.  All three had the most distinctly different personalities.  

Gertie was always the dominate one.  She would have been the leader of the pack if she just condescended to acknowledge that Leo and Zoe existed.  And she's a one person cat too. She follows me around from room to room.  She's got arthritis so it's hard for her to keep on getting up but does it.  Sometimes I put my hand up and say no, stay right there,  I'll be right back.  Of course she doesn't listen to directions well so I hurry back so she doesn't have to get up.

I really need to go to my PO Box more often.  It's this pretty?  Nina sent it to me.  It's acrylic on board.  I have a little picture stand and I'm taking it to work for the shelf in my cube.  I think it will brighten up my day.  Thank you Nina!

The Bull Dog type with my new favorite of watercolor crayons.  I drew these this morning before work.  I'm up by 5am so I have time for a few sketches.  So little time after work.  I thought exercise was supposed to energize you.  I'm waiting for that to happen.  Right now it justs exhausts me.
